Frieren Fans Make the Show More Mid

If you like Frieren, you are so valid. I think the show is hot mid, if me saying that wants to make you assume things about my age, loss in life, general emotional maturity, taste in non-action shows, or anything you see on any discussion about not liking frieren, then I would like to ask you to calm it a bit, and I would like to say you make me more critical of the show as a whole. I do not think Frieren is that good, I do not think it deserves a number one or a top ten, I honestly think it is okay, and I overall think it became pretty disappointing as the show progressed. I heard a lot of great things about the show, so after not watching any anime for sometime(besides two sequals), I decided to give it a shot. I wasn’t that impressed and then so I went online to see the general discourse of the show, and it was pretty bad.

I did not expect to be in the majority opinion, Frieren is legitimately rated very highly by others, and I disagree with a lot of other people who are critical of Frieren. A lot of people who do not like the show seem to really not like the characters, and really don’t like Frieren herself; I think Frieren is actually a pretty good character(The others…). I think Frieren’s world is pretty generic and not that developed, and sometimes contradicts itself, but overall the world I would give an okay score.

It is really the plot that is Frieren’s biggest weakness, Frieren’s plot is not that good, it is not top one, ten, or dare I say, one-hundred good. I could go on in another post . But really, I gave Frieren a seven on first watch, but seeing how condescending and rude Frieren fans were when someone didn’t like the show was a flashbang, and I really had to reconsider whether I was giving it a fair ranking, so I took a second look— I give Frieren a six now. Also it is crazy how many fans would bring up the critics age, as though if you didn’t like Frieren it must mean you are like younger than 25 or something? Then those people would get swiftly corrected by the 30-something who is like “Nah the show was just weak.” Then they would change strategy to say they only like shounen or something. It was so coordinated, it was disturbing how many seemingly different people converged on this one strategy of belittle people for liking the show they like.
